Baseline was Leonardo AI for batch generation and Midjourney v6 for hero imagery. The Enhance feature for upscaling and detail injection held up against Magnific for routine work, producing usable 4K output from rough draft inputs. Raw aesthetic quality on hero-shot generation lags Midjourney v6 noticeably - the Krea base models produce serviceable but generic output, and the platform leans on third-party model integrations like Flux Pro for the best results, which adds cognitive overhead choosing which to invoke. Hand and face quality is worse than Midjourney and roughly tied with Leonardo. Pricing structure with separate Basic-Pro-Max tiers plus credits per generation got confusing - burned through the Pro allocation in 10 days. Batch generation workflow is weak compared to Leonardo - no grid output, no preset overrides. Mobile experience is essentially absent.

Best for designers and creative directors who value real-time iteration speed over single-shot quality, and for anyone doing concept art or rapid social variant testing where 20 iterations beats 5 perfect ones. Midjourney remains the right choice for hero-shot quality. Leonardo AI wins for high-volume batch work with brand consistency.
