Editor's verdict
Pitch is a solid freemium pick, rated 4.4/5 by 1,890 users. Best for startups building investor pitch decks and agencies presenting proposals and case studies to clients. Standout: aI generates full decks from a brief. Watch out: team plans start at $25/month - higher than Google Slides. Has a free tier; paid plans start at $25/mo.
Tested Pitch over three weeks building five real client decks - a fundraising round narrative, two sales pitches, an internal all-hands, and a recurring monthly board report. Baseline was Gamma for AI-generated drafts and Google Slides for the legacy team workflow. Specifically wanted to validate Pitch collaboration features for a four-person creative team and the AI Generation feature against Gamma. Each deck averaged 18 to 24 slides over the test window.
Real-time collaboration is genuinely the smoothest in the category - four people editing the same slide simultaneously felt closer to Figma multiplayer than to Google Slides, with cursor presence and section locking working consistently. The template library skews well-designed and modern, and the brand kit feature held company colors and fonts across all five decks without manual reapplication. Smart Layouts auto-resized content blocks cleanly when adding bullet points or images. The AI Generation produced slides that matched the existing brand aesthetic about 65 percent of the time, better than expected for a generic prompt.
AI Generation is visibly weaker than Gamma at the structural level - Gamma builds narrative flow across slides while Pitch produces individual slides that need manual reordering. Image generation inside slides was limited to generic stock-style outputs with no fine-tune control. Export to PowerPoint lost three custom transitions and broke one embedded video link across two of five decks, which made handoff to a Microsoft-shop client painful. Offline mode is non-existent, which broke a presentation review on a flaky conference WiFi. Pricing tier walls hit early - analytics and template restrictions require Pro at 25 USD per user monthly.
Best for design-conscious teams who treat presentations as a collaborative creative artifact and want Figma-grade multiplayer for slides. Gamma remains the right pick for AI-first solo creators who want narrative structure generated end to end. Beautiful.ai serves smaller teams who need slide-by-slide AI assistance. Google Slides still wins on free plus universal compatibility. Pick Pitch when collaboration depth is the job.
Avoid if
Solo creators who want AI to generate entire decks from a prompt should pick Gamma instead - Pitch AI works at the slide level, not the narrative level. PowerPoint-shop clients receiving exports will hit fidelity issues. Anyone needing offline mode for travel or unstable WiFi will find Pitch unusable. Free tier is generous but Pro tier walls hit fast for teams above three.
About Pitch
Pitch is a collaborative presentation tool built for modern teams, combining a polished slide editor with AI content generation and real-time collaboration. The AI assistant can generate full slide decks from a brief, rewrite slide content to match a specified tone, suggest layouts, and create speaker notes - significantly reducing the time from rough ideas to a first presentable draft for business presentations, pitch decks, and team reviews. Pitch is built as a direct alternative to Google Slides and PowerPoint, with a focus on design quality and collaborative workflow. The platform's template library covers investor pitch decks, OKR review decks, case studies, and marketing presentations with professional designs that non-designers can customise without breaking visual hierarchy. Real-time collaboration allows multiple team members to edit simultaneously with version history and inline commenting - a clear workflow advantage over static PowerPoint files passed back and forth via email. Pitch integrates with Figma, Loom, and major data tools for embedding live charts and recordings directly in slides. The free plan is functional for individuals and small teams; team plans start at $25/month and add advanced collaboration, custom branding, analytics on shared presentations, and guest access controls. For startups building investor decks, agencies presenting to clients, or internal teams running structured reviews, Pitch reduces the gap between having good ideas and presenting them well.
